Cox Family Reunion - Huntington Lake

After returning from the "Big House", we quickly put on our swimming suits and headed to Huntington Lake for some fun! Grandpa got the boat ready, while the boys got the tube ready! It had been awhile since we had been boating and the kids (especially Easton) were looking forward to some time in the water.

Since it is hard for the "littlest" ones to wait, they took the first turn! Didn't take long for there turn to be over.

Easton wasn't satisfied with that "slow" ride so we tried once again for his sake, letting Mollie and Bennett off so we could be more rough!

Easton still wasn't impressed, so we let him ride with "The Big Boys"!

Started out good....but they hit a big bump and Easton bounced up over the top of one of the black balls! ooops!

He was out there all alone, screaming "I'm drowning, I'm drowning!" He's usually not afraid of the water...must have been because he was out there all alone! Uncle Danny was the first responder on the scene!

Like good parents, we made him get back on! Don't want him afraid of things! He wasn't as excited this go around! Like Dad says, "That's how the big boys ride!"

Mollie was happy and content to just play it the water, where her feet could touch!

Easton & the Dentist

It is that time of year - time for the dreaded visit to the dentist!

Lucky for Easton (and the dentist) they had a TV on the ceiling! Once it was turned on and the earphones plugged in, they could have done anything to that boy! He was in his own little world! And it was a good thing too! He has a cavaity on all 4 sides (and 2 old filings have come out and need to be replaced)! Wow - I guess Mom will take over on the teeth brushing duties!!!

After the dentist gave Easton his "sleepy juice" shot, they went to work on one of the cavaties! They drilled all of the "dirt" out, and cleaned it up! Then to my surprise, and Easton's delight, they let him pick the color he wanted it filled with! Green!! Who would have guessed!

The only problem I can see with this tactic.....Easton now wants all of his teeth green! No problem, I'm sure the dentist would love for me to buy him a new car! Ouch!

International Days

Hurray for International Days!

Lots of fun things to do for the kids!! (and of course our favorite part is "free" kids day! Easton enjoyed trying out his skills on the rock wall. Too bad our legs aren't just a little longer. One of Mollie's favorite activities was the face painting! And she was beautiful!

This year we also tried something new! All of the Horsley cousins were in town, so the night before, we (Aunt Kim, not me the other Aunt Kim) decided that they should all be in the Kids day parade! So she being the excellent embroiderer that she is, made them all matching shirts with an "H"! They were riding in style! Aunt Becky, Kaibree, and I were in charge of decorating! Everyone had a good time - except for James, he saw his Dad and wanted off!!! Can't beat the good times at Kids Day!

Evening Fun

The kids (including Sylvia)
have decided...

that "jumping" on the trampoline
with Dad

is lots funner than by themselves!
I wonder if Dad thinks that too!

Dave has decided that Sylvia's legs are ready and he has begun working on his "infamous trick" with her. She did very well the first go around, but then quickly decided that she doesn't quite like the thrill of freefalling just yet (much to Dave's disappointment). Know when he lets go she buckles her knees without hesitation! We will keep practicing!
