To Breed or Not To Breed

Dave and I have always thought our kids to be cute!
(seriously who wouldn't)
We obviously gave them great genes in that department!
(Okay, Dave did most of the giving)
As they have gotten older, however, we are quickly learning!
Although it "appears" we passed on our amazing genes...
We really messed it up!

Our cute little Easton was born with allergies~ tons of allergies!
Food allergies, Outdoor allergies, Pet allergies
(that too is a big thanks to Dave's genetics)

He also had HUGE Tonsils!
Yep, at 18 months they were ripped out~
Stopped his breathing at night!

No worries though, we thought perhaps we
could get it right the second time around!
As for Little Miss Mollie, we have just found out that she has a little problem!
She has slight hearing loss! All of the symptoms point towards fluid in the ears...
BUT... No Fluid! Amazing how that works!

Once again Dave and I have discovered
OUR genetics = Quirkiness!

One could have only hoped that Sweet Sylvia would have been lucky enough to slip
through the cracks of "BAD" genes!

But as we all know, she was trouble before she even got here!
There is no hope for her!

Dave and I should be banned from breeding!
Our genes just don't mix!

We are extremely grateful for Modern Medicine...
As they have taken care of all of the bad genes we so generously passed along!

October = Hunting

The Mighty Hunter has returned!

Sweet, sweet victory!
It has been awhile, since we've had blood on the hands, but we are happy to announce that the freezer is full!
Thanks to the Page Family for letting us stay at the cabin!
And as if one kill wasn't enough.....
The other night Dave's brothers dogs treed
(or really just fenced) 3 raccoons in the middle of the night!

The mighty hunter took care of those too! Their meat is not in the freezer however!

Halloween Fun!

Happy "October" Month! (as Mollie likes to say- cause the decorations are out, but its not Halloween yet!) Grandma Cox made sure that the kids all had fun Halloween shirts to wear! Easton wants to wear his everyday, who cares if it is dirty!

While putting out our Halloween decorations, I decided that I would paint a ghost on the front window! (Cheap decoration!) Mollie and Easton decided that this looked like great fun, so they also wanted to paint on the front window! Now I might be a "cool" mom, but I'm not that cool! So we compromised! They each got to paint on their bedroom window (they are in the basement)!

Mollie painted ... a bat???, and the letters AB and AL. We were having some friends come over and Mollie loves their girls. She was so excited she decided to write their names on the window (or at least the first 2 letters of their names!) Do we really have to leave it on until Halloween?

Easton painted a scarecrow for his picture! He really wanted it to have a large Haunted House behind it, but I told him to think simple. Maybe next year we can try something more extravagant!

Miss Mollie

Miss Mollie!
Mollie is our dancing princess! Since Easton has been going to Kindergarten, Mollie decided that she also needed to be going some (besides preschool)! She has been asking to take dancing "FOREVER", and being the good mom that I am - I just kept putting her off! Really though, Dancing! I guess this is the point where I learn that you can't pick your kids hobbies!

I must say though, she is a beautiful dancer!
(and the best part, is she loves it!)
